      The National Bureau of Agricultural Commodity and Food Standards (ACFS) , Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, is pleased to announce that the 1st Session of the Ad Hoc Codex Task Force on Processing and Handling of Quick Frozen Foods will be organized during 25 – 29 February, 2008 in Bangkok, Thailand.

      As Codex Alimentarius has been serving world community as the reference standards for international food trade, this meeting is, therefore, conducted with the expectation that it would be a forum among the members and interested participants to discuss and share information which will lead to the finalization of the Code which has long been under Codex consideration for almost ten years.  To enhance the above concept into concrete practice, the only one session of Ad hoc Codex Intergovernmental Task Force on Processing and Handling of Quick Frozen Foods, established by Codex Alimentarius, is then prepared as scheduled above.

      In this regard, ACFS has the pleasure to invite and extend our warm welcome to all participants to attend the 1st Session of the Ad hoc Codex Task Force on Processing and Handling of Quick Frozen Foods in Bangkok.  We hope that this Task Force will serve as a ground for unity and understanding which of course require great contribution from the participants.  At this end, ACFS is looking forward to meeting all interested participants from all over the world to share your value ideas and experiences as well as enjoy your stay in Thailand.
